LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) – Mondays can be hard enough, but the Nevada Department of Transportation are closing a couple of roads today that will add to your misery should you get stuck.

First of, State Route 160 will be shutting down between 11:45am and 1:45pm.

Secondly, NDOT will be shutting down a stretch of the Northern Beltway in both directions between Oso Blanca and Deer Springs between 8pm Monday and 5am Tuesday.

That temporary closure is needed to safely place concrete for a girder wall over the 215 Beltway as part of the $73 million next phase of the Centennial Bowl.

That project, which includes building new freeway flyover ramps, connecting the eastbound 215 Beltway to U.S. Highway 95 southbound and U.S. Highway 95 northbound to the 215 Beltway westbound, is scheduled to finish in late summer 2020
