LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - As Las Vegas and the surrounding areas in Clark County continue to deal with the coronavirus pandemic, the Army Corps of Engineers is finding spots for possible field hospital sites.
On Sunday, officials identified the Las Vegas Convention Center as a possible site that could hold up to 900 beds.
This doesn't mean the convention center will be converted into one right now, but should the need ever arise, the city will know they can use the convention center as a possible location.
Up in the northern part of the state, corps officials identified four sites in Reno and Carson City that they deemed would work as hospital sites, if needed.
