LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Another day of excessively hot (for early June) temperaturs will hit southern Nevada Thursday, so Clark County has activated 4 so-called 'cooling stations' that can used by all who seek shelter from the heat.
The county says that extra precautions will be taken before folks are allowed inside to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19.
High temperatures in the Las Vegas valley are expected to be in the 105 degree Thursday, with hotter temps forecast for areas along the Colorado River.
Following the latest blast of heat temperatures are expected to take a downward trend, with highs only expected to reach the low 80s early next week. Windy conditions are expected to roll in on Friday, as well.
