Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - All of the community’s public COVID-19 testing sites will be closed on New Year’s Day, Friday, Jan. 1, and may have additional scheduling changes over the holidays.\
The public is advised to visit the online testing site calendar posted on the Southern Nevada Health District’s website at https://covid.southernnevadahealthdistrict.org/testing/ for a current listing of hours and locations.
With recent increased demand for COVID-19 testing, the public is advised that the community sites may hit peak testing volume on any given day. People are encouraged to arrive early at sites offering walk-in tests. Locations, hours of operation and other details about the three primary community testing sites include:
- Texas Station Hotel & Casino, Lake Mead and Rancho, operates as a drive-thru site in the parking garage on the south side of the property off Rancho Drive. The site’s regular hours of operation are Thursday through Monday, with closure on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
No appointments are available at this site. The site has the current capacity to offer 2,000 tests per day on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 8 a.m. The site is open as late as 4 p.m. if tests are available but may close sooner in the day if the daily allotment of tests has been reached. Those arriving for testing should bring photo identification and wear face coverings until they are instructed to remove their masks for testing. Names, birth dates and a contact number are required as part of the registration process. Results from the Texas site are accessed when they become available through a portal on the Southern Nevada Health District’s website at https://www.southernnevadahealthdistrict.org/lab-results/. Results are typically processed in 24 to 48 hours but may take longer due to high volumes of testing.
- Cashman Center, located in Exhibit Hall A, 850 N. Las Vegas Boulevard on the north side of the facility off Washington Avenue. This site’s normal hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, with closure on Sundays and Mondays. It will reopen Tuesday, Dec. 29. It will be closed New Year’s Day
- UNLV's Stan Fulton Building, 801 E. Flamingo Road on the southeast corner of University Center Drive and East Flamingo Road. Regular hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. It is closed Fridays and Saturdays. It will be open Sunday, Dec. 27 through Thursday, Dec. 31, and will re-open for regular operations after the New Year’s holiday on Sunday, Jan. 3.
