LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - One person was killed in a single-vehicle rollover accident along the 215 Southern Beltway Thursday night.
Nevada Highway Patrol says that just after 8pm, the driver of a BMV suddenly swerved off the road in the westbound lanes near Valle Verde, causing the car to land on its hood.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Westbound 215 was closed for roughly 4 hours to allow NHP to conduct their investigation.
NHP says it doesn't have a firm cause of the crash yet, saying it's too early to determine if speed, impairment, a medical episode or a mechanical breakdown caused the car to veer off the freeway.
The identity of the driver hasn't been released.
