Frontier Airlines To Furlough Hundreds Of McCarran Workers

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Frontier Airlines has announced that it plans to furlough 245 employees based in Las Vegas. 

The furloughs will impact pilots and flight attendants for the Denver-based carrierand are expected to begin as soon as October 1st. Frontier is the 5th busiest carrier at McCarran airport.

The news came in a letter date July 31st and is in compliance with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Act, which requires notice of layoffs at least 60 days in advance in order for affected employees time to look for a new job.

Like all other airlines, Frontier has seen a big drop in business due to the coronavirus pandemic.
