Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Henderson Mayor Debra March has sent a letter to the Clark County School District Board of Trustees, saying that she believes that it's time to send students back to the classroom.
The letter comes as the board is set to vote Thursday night on a hybrid learning plan that would send students to school twice a week, with distance learning the remaining three.
The Clark County School District has been in full distance learning mode since the fall semester began back on August 24th, with the exception of a handful of rural schools that can more easily accomplish social distancing.
March focused on mental health in the letter, saying that the longer a full distance learning model goes, the worse the mental health issues for school kids will become.
