LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Around 400 employees are expected to lose their jobs at the Colorado Belle Casino Resort in Laughlin.
Officials with Golden Entertainment Inc., which owns the company, gave employees notice on Monday that they are closing its doors indefinitely. The economic impact from the statewide closure was cited as a big reason for the decision.
Employees enrolled in the benefit plan will also lose their coverage on May 31st.
Golden Entertainment owns two other Laughlin properties, the Edgewater and Aquarius Casino Resort. Both will remain open.
The Colorado Belle has been a part of the Laughlin landscape since 1987.
