Las Vegas, NV (KXNT)  - Layoffs came to the M Resort on Tuesday, as the company that owns property announced that 159 people would be losing their jobs.

Penn Nation Gaming announced the layoffs, blaming it squarely on reduced visitation due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The layoffs come at a time of adjustment for many hotels, with some MGM Resorts International properties only having their hotel portions open on weekends.

The Mirage Resort recently announced that it would be completely closing its Mirage hotel - including all amenities - between noon Mondays and noon Thursdays until at least the end of February.
