Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred early Monday at an apartment complex near Tropicana and Pecos.
Police say a woman who lives in one of the units encountered a former co-worker waiting for her when she arrived home from work with a current co-worker. Police say the woman had told the man she was with to accompany her to her door because she was afraid of the suspect.
Investigators say that the 19-year-old-man was waiting for the woman when she arrived home, so she and the current co-worker rushed into her apartment and locked the door,
Police then say the former co-worker fired a shot into the apartment, and the current co-worker returned fire, striking and killing the man outside. The man outside the apartment died at the scene. Police are now hoping to find surveillance video from the scene to help them piece everything together.
The names of the people involved haven't yet been released.
