Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - One person is dead after an officer-involved shooting in the southwest early Tuesday.
It happened in a neighborhood near Tropicana and Durango. Officers say they were responding to a burglary call and when they got to the residence they encountered a man attacking another with a hammer.
The attacker was shot and died at the scene.
This is the 18th officer involved shooting of 2020. Per LVMPD policy, the identity of the officers involved will be released after 48 hours.
