Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - MGM Resorts International will be furloughing 140 management positions, effective on Monday.
The move comes due to low visitor volume due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement MGM said that it was optimistic that with vaccine distribution and other developments, the company will return to higher business levels and staffing soon.
The announcement from MGM was the second of its kind last week. The M Resort also announced similar layoffs, likewise blaming the move on reduced visitation due to the pandemic.
