Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The Mirage will now be completely closing during the middle of the week.
Starting Monday, MGM Resorts International closed the entire hotel - casino, shops, restaurants, even the volcano - between noon Mondays and noon Thursdays. The company cites reduced demand, including the complete lack of coventions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as the reason for the closures
Currently, MGM properties PARK MGM and Mandalay Bay have their hotel portions closed midweek, but all amenities have remained open.
MGM officials say they don't expect the midweek closure to last past February, but that decision will continue to be evaluated based on current conditions.
