LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - These are unquestionably stressful times worldwide as the coronavirus pandemic confines millions to their homes. In addition, forced business closures have led to job furloughs and uncertainty about what will happen with the coronavirus pandemic ends.

So how is Nevada handling all the stress?

Not well, at least according to the financial website WalletHub.

WalletHub is out with a new study of "Most And Least Stressed States" and you'll find Nevada near the bottom. In fact, according to the study only five other states are more stressed out than Nevada.

WalletHub compared the 50 states across 41 key indicators of stress to determine the places to avoid and achieve a more relaxing life. The data set ranges from average hours worked per week to personal bankruptcy rate to share of adults getting adequate sleep.

How Nevada ranked in some key categories:

27th – Avg. Hours Worked per Week
18th – Share of Adults Getting Adequate Sleep
10th – % of Adults in Fair/Poor Health
4th – Median Credit Score
10th – Housing Affordability
24th – % of Population Living Below Poverty Line

Adding to our stress lately has been the massive number of jobs lost due to the temporary closures of all casinos and non-essential businesses.

The only states more stressed out than Nevada? West Virginia, Arkansas, New Mexico, Mississippi, and...the most totally stressed out state...Louisiana.

States that are doing their best to keep it together and stay cool? Your Top 5: Utah, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Minnesota.
