LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Americans have experienced unprecedented restrictions on their everyday life in order to fight the coronavirus, but now some states are easing up on these limitations.
In order to determine the states with the fewest coronavirus restrictions, the financial website WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 9 key metrics ranging from limits on large gatherings to the presence of a “shelter-in-place” order and whether restaurants and bars have reopened.
Nevada ranks right in the middle at 25th.
Governor Steve Sisolak recently extended Nevada's "Stay-At-Home" order until May 15th, but did loosen restrictions on outdoor activities and retail businesses (as long as they did a curbside model similar to how restaurants have been operating).
For the fewest restrictions, head to the Dakotas.
South Dakota and North Dakota came in 1st and 3rd places, respectively, with Utah in between in 2nd. Rounding out the top 5 "least restrictive" states were Missouri and Idaho.
As far as the states that WalletHub considers most restrictive, Hawaii is at the top.
The governor of the Aloha State is making vistors self-quarantine for 14 days before venturing out. Same story if you're a resident returning from the mainland U.S. or abroad.
