New Covid-19 Cases Involve Cosmopolitan, Dutch Brothers

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - The Cosmopolitan Resort and two locations of Dutch Brothers Coffee are dealing with the ramifications of employees testing postive for COVID-19 this week.

Over at the Cosmo, two members of the concierge team have tested positive. The hotel says they took immediate action, reporting directly to the Southern Nevada Health District to begin the process of contact tracing to inform those employees and guests who may have potentially been exposed.

Additionally, the concierge office has since undergone a thorough disinfecting and sanitization.

Meanwhile, two of the popular Dutch Brothers coffee locations were forced to close due to employees testing positive for the virus.

Both locations are in the southeast part of the valley: Tropicana and McLeod (west of Pecos) and Spencer at Serene.

According to the company, positive results came back for employees at both locations on Saturday, June 20, and closures were immediately instituted.

At the Tropicana location, the employee worked a morning shift on June 14, day shifts on June 1, 2, 3 and 7, and night shifts n June 5 and June 6. 

For the Serene location, the employee worked morning shifts on June 7 and 12, a day shift on June 10 and a night shift on June 13.
