
LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - A Nye County Sheriff's Deputy has been arrested and charged due to his actions with a suspect outside of a Pahrump Walmart last week.
In the early morning hours of February 26th, Deputy James Ramos was pursuing a suspect behind the Walmart on State Route 160 south of Basin Avenue when he fired a shot at the fleeing man.
The Nye County Sheriff's Office released a statement saying that Ramos' action "was not within Sheriff's Office policy"
Ramos is currently in the Nye County Dentention Center on charges of assault with a deadly weapon as well as discharging a firearm where a person is endangered.
