LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - The Diocese of Las Vegas says that a priest has tested positive for the coronavirus.
The diocese said Tuesday that the priest is from Christ the King Catholic Church at Tropicana and Torrey Pines and was reported as asymptomatic. The priest took a COVID-19 test anyway just to be on the safe side and a positive result came up on July 9th.
The Parish has been closed for cleaning, and employees are self-quarantining for 14 days.
It's the 2nd time in recent days that a Las Vegas priest has tested positive for the coronavirus. Last week, a priest at Holy Family Catholic Church at Harmon and Mountain Vista tested positive.
