Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - A recount is underway in the race for Clark County Commission District C.
Democrat Ross Miller defeated Republican Las Vegas Ward 4 City Councilman Stavros Anthony by just 10 votes, but the Clark County Registrar of Voters said they found more than 100 discrepancies in that particular race, enough to warrant a do-over.
Nevertheless, the commission certified the results last week, and Anthony said he wanted a recount. The current Las Vegas Mayor-Pro-Tem is paying the cost of it, estimated at around $80,000.
A spokesman for Clark County says that staff will continue to count votes from 5 am to 10:30 pm daily through Friday.
