The annual Rock 'N' Roll Las Vegas Marathon and 1/2 Marathon event will not take place this November on The Strip.

Event organizers Thursday called off the running races due to what they describe as "a very dynamic and unprecedented time.  In a statement, The Ironman Group says it "recognizes that this may come as a disappointment but look forward to providing our participants with an exceptional event experience in the future".

They did not identify a future date for when the November races might be restored.  The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority approved the first-time addition of a Spring race, which is slated for April 2021.
