
LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - One person is dead after a shooting outside a 7-11 at Craig and Las Vegas Boulevard.
Police on the scene say that just before 11pm, a store security guard was attempting to keep a customer out due to Covid-19 capacity restrictions. The two had words, the fight went outside, and the guard then shot the person.
Upon completing their investigation, which included interviewing witnesses and checking out video from the store's security cameras, police arrested the security guard.
36-year-old Kegia Mitchell was charged with open murder. She's currently being held in the Clark County Detention Center.
The identification of the victim as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office
