LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - After first expressing a reluctance to do so, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak Monday tweeted that Nevada would be joinging a pact with other western states to coordinate the re-opening of state economies shut down by the coronavirus pandemic.
The governor's closure of non-essential businesses expires on Thursday. Sisolak had said that he would be relying on state medical experts' advice for when to start relaxing restrictions.
Nevada currently has 4690 positive cases of coronavirus, with 206 virus-related deaths. Sisolak said last week that he wanted to see a steady 14-day drop in cases and hospitalizations before beginning to allow certain parts of the state's economy to re-open for business.
