LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Both major universites in Nevada will be making the transition to online instruction as concerns about the coronavirus lead to increasing calls for the banning of large group get-togethers.

The University of Nevada-Las Vegas and The University of Nevada, Reno will be starting online classes on March 23rd.

Both campuses will remain open, but all classes will be moved to online.

Both schools have also created a Coronavirus Information Page, which provides updates to all students, staff, parents and the community. That link can be found here.

Over the weekend, the College of Southern Nevada released a statement saying it would be moving to an online learning environment, as well, beginning Wednesday.

Finally, Touro University in Henderson announced it's plans to go all online at some point next week. The 1,500 student school is the largest medical school in the state of Nevada.
