LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Las Vegas officially saw its first precipitation since April on Sunday when a trace of precipitation was recorded at McCarran International Airport.

Until Sunday, Las Vegas had gone 89 days without any measurable precipitation.

Some Las Vegas residents woke up to the sound of thunder, accompanied by some impressive lightning displays.

Not much rain fell from those storms early Monday, but the forecast calls for more chances of pop-up storms each day this week as monsoon moisture enters from the southeast.
