Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The Venetian Resort is closing down its Palazzo tower for the next couple of weeks due to lack of demand. Amenities in the tower will stay open, as will the casino.

No changes will be made at the Venetian itself.

The Palazzo tower will begin taking reservations again on December 23rd.

Several strip hotels including the Encore, Planet Hollywood, Mandalay Bay and Mirage currently have their hotel portions open Thursday nights through Monday morning, also due to slow demand. MGM Resorts International say they expect that Mandalay Bay and Mirage will have their hotel portions back open 7 days a week after the new year.
