LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - A couple of large-scale road construction closures are on tap for the weekend, weather permitting of course.
The intersection of CraIg and Lamb will be see impacts all weekend, starting Friday night at 8, lasting until Monday morning at 6. The temporary closures are needed to trench and install an underground gas pipeline as part of a Southwest Gas permitted project occurring within state right-of-way
The closure parameters:
- The left lanes along eastbound Craig between Copper Sage and Lamb will be closed.
- No left turns from westbound Craig to Lamb.
- Lamb will be blocked in both directions at Craig Road, but right turns will be allowed.
Meanwhile, U.S. 95 South will close at Martin Luther King Boulevard from 10 p.m Sunday until 5am Monday.
The temporary closure is needed to adjust the overhead digital messaging sign to align with new freeway lane striping as part of Project NEON – the nearly $1 billion 4-mile-long Interstate 15 upgrade from U.S. 95 to Sahara that finished last summer.
Northbound lanes of U.S. 95 won' be affected.
Taking a peek to next week, the northbound Airport Tunnel will be down to a single lane for regualr maintenance in the overnight hours Sunday through Wednesday. The hours of the work will be 11pm-5am each night.
