Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - In an effort to improve efficiency, Clark County is closing Cashman Center’s COVID-19 vaccination site this Friday through Sunday. Appointments for next week will be available soon on the Health District’s website.

Appointments for next week will be available soon via the vaccine distribution page on the Health District’s website at www.SNHD.info/covid. No appointments are scheduled to occur at the site from Friday through the weekend.

The Cashman site opened Jan. 14 as a pilot program to test-run the community’s first mass vaccination effort.

The site is offering vaccinations to people in priority groups, including seniors age 70 and older, and health care and public safety workers. Available vaccine is being used to support clinics scheduled in the cities of Las Vegas, Henderson and North Las Vegas. All available vaccine is being used and people eligible to receive the vaccine are being served throughout the weekend at additional locations.

Officials stress the need for people in priority groups to book vaccine appointments online through the Health District’s website and to arrive at their scheduled times to ensure efficient operations at the vaccination sites and to maximize delivery of available vaccine supplies. Officials also urge the public to be patient because a limited supply of vaccine arrives each week.

Locations of vaccination clinics are listed on the Southern Nevada Health District’s vaccine distribution page at www.SNHD.info/covid along with appointment scheduling information.
