
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Drivers in the northwest part of the valley will have to deal with the price of progress, as a ramp closure with be affect the 215N/95 interchange, aka the "Centennial Bowl" in the overnight hours on Monday
Between 9pm and 5am, The Nevada Department of Transportation will close the connector ramp from 95 North to the eastbound northern Bletwaylinking U.S. Highway 95 northbound with the northern 215 Beltway.
The temporary closure is needed to place temporary barrier railing and lane striping as part of current $73 million phase of the Centennial Bowl project.
The project calls for removing part of the Oso Blanca Road ramp and the old north-to-west loop, making room for three new freeway flyover ramp connections, including: eastbound 215 Beltway to U.S. Highway 95 southbound as well as 95S to the eastbound 215 Beltway, and 95N to the 215 Beltway westbound.
Las Vegas Paving Corp. is the general contractor. Construction is expected to be completed in the spring of next year.
