Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Due a surge in COVID-19 cases in Southern Nevada and increased demand for testing, a new drive-thru COVID-19 testing site will open in the parking garage at the Texas Station Hotel & Casino at 8 a.m. on Friday.
The testing area will be located on the first floor of the resort’s parking garage on the south side of the property at Rancho and Lake Mead in North Las Vegas. The site will operate 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Monday. It will be closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The drive-thru site at Texas Station will offer testing using oral swabs administered by clinical staff. The site will operate on a first-come, first served basis. No appointments are needed but pre-registration with the Health District is highly recommended to alleviate lines. The public can register online here. People also can text COVID to 844-990-0029 and it will return a link to the registration form to fill out on their phones.
Those arriving for testing will be asked to wear face coverings in their vehicles throughout the process until they are advised to remove face coverings to undergo sample collection.
People should bring photo identification and provide their phone numbers to be notified of their results by the Health District. People can access their results on the Health District’s online results portal.
Results are typically processed in 24 to 48 hours but may take longer due to high volumes of testing.
