
LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - The deadline has been extended for local small business owners to apply for up to $15,000 in grants from Clark County.
The deadline to apply for assistance had been Tuesday, but on Monday the county extended the deadline to the following Tuesday, August 11th
The County is currently accepting applications for the Small Business Rental Assistance program, which provides up to $10,000 to cover past-due rent, and Small Business Protective Retrofit Grant, which will reimburse businesses up to $5,000 for costs such as purchasing personal protective equipment for employees and installing no-touch doors and walk-up windows.
Information about the programs and the applications are online at www.ClarkCountyNV.gov/EconomicDevelopment. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11th, and must be submitted online.
Qualified applicants must be in unincorporated Clark county, have a Clark County business license and 20 or fewer employees. Grant awards could be made as soon as late August.
The funding for the grant programs comes from the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) CARES Act.
