LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Metro Police says a Valley father killed two of his sons in a drunken rage before turning the gun on himself over the weekend.

Friday night, police recieved a call from a juvenile who stated that the father had fired a gun from inside of the house in the 3900 block of Chasing Heart Way (near Las Vegas Boulevard and Lamb). During the phone call gunshots were heard and the person reporting stopped answering questions.

The SWAT team made entry into the residence and located two victims with apparent gunshot wounds. They also located the suspect, later identified as 45-year-old Alejandro Figueroa, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The SWAT Tactical Doctor pronounced all three deceased at the scene.

The investigation by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicates Figueroa had been drinking and handling a firearm, causing an accidental discharge. One of the victims called the police due to Figueroa handling firearms while intoxicated. Figueroa became upset and shot the victims before turning the firearm on himself.

A girl was able to crawl out the window to safety. The mother was not home at the time of the shootings

The identification of the victims as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
