LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - A man suspected of murdering a woman and stuffing her body in a suitcase was denied bail in his first court appearance on Monday

Gary Walker faces charges of Murder, Kidnapping, Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Sexual Assault.

On February 5th a woman notified a Marshal at the Regional Justice Center that she needed assistance. The female victim told Marshals that she had been kidnapped and sexually assaulted by a suspect, later identified as 55-year-old Gary Walker, who had accompanied her to court. Walker was detained and the LVMPD was notified.

Sexual assault Detectives responded and learned that the victim had been sexually assaulted at an apartment complex near Nellis and Stewart.

Detectives were also advised that Walker murdered another female, identified as 22-year-old Morgan Amaya, at the same residence. LVMPD Homicide Detectives responded to the residence where a deceased female was found in a suitcase.

According to the police report, the three had been drinking at Walker's apartment when things got out of hand. Walker claims Amaya came at him with a gun, they struggled, and the gun went off accidentally shooting Amaya.

The woman who claims to have been sexually assaulted by Walker says he made her clean up the murder scene.

Walker's next court appearance is scheduled for February 25th.
