State Of Emergency Declared In Nevada Over Coronavirus

Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak Thursday declared a state of emergency to deal with the coronavirus crisis.  The Governor's action gives the state additional tools and flexibility to respond to thesituation, and it will advance measures to in the handling of COVID-19.

Currently, the total number of cases In Nevada are at 11. Only one of those case has been confirmed by the CDC. The others (7 in Clark County, 2 in Washoe County, 1 in the Carson City area) are comsidered "presumptive positive" until the CDC confirms

The state Emergency Operations Center will be activated as will the Nevada Health Response team.

The state also created a website that provides a central, state-wide hub for individuals, businesses and organizations to access federal and state-specific guidance and resources.
