LAS VEGAS, NV - Fewer Nevadans filed for unemployment last week; about 23% less compared to the week before according to the Department of Labor.  Still, that’s over 71 thousand claims for the state for the week ending March 28th.

Last night the Governor said the state jobless office was working around the clock to handle the excessive amount of applications.  Nevertheless, there have been delays in receiving benefits.

The office assures those applicants will receive back pay from March 15th.
