Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Casinos have been on a definite roll in Nevada, but March numbers released Thursday by the state’s Gaming Control Board saw a bit of a backslide for that month.

The casino win in March was down 3.8% from February and down 1.65% from March of 2023.

Overall, though, the numbers weren’t that bad, especially when you consider that March of 2023 set an all-time gaming win mark.

On the Las Vegas Strip, casinos posted $715.8 million in winnings, down 1.2% compared to March 2023, but 10.5% below February 2024.

Off-Strip casinos fared a little bit better. In March, those casinos won $166.8 million, a 6.57% increase compared to a year ago. That was the second-highest total ever -- just short of the record $169.3 million in January.

Downtown Las Vegas caisson saw a drop in the win of 12.85% from March of 2023, while the Boulder Strip recorded a decline of just under 10%.
