With the South Lake Tahoe region under mandatory evacuation orders, the Nevada Division of Emergency Management has put out the call for help.

20 firefighters from Southern Nevada will answer the call.

Four engines from Clark County, North Las Vegas and Pahrump Valley will be on station at Lake Tahoe to provide assistance to fire crews there. Nye County public information says the team will be assigned to structure protection in Incline Village and Tahoe Douglas.

The Caldor Fire and Tamarack Fire are torching forest just south of Lake Tahoe, with the Caldor Fire advancing hard.

Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak declared a state of emergency Monday due to the wildfire crisis.
