2 dead in central valley house fire

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Two people were killed after fire broke out in a home in the central part of the valley on Wednesday night.

Firefighters responded to the home on Catalini Street, near Jones and U.S. 95, just after 11pm on Wednesday.

After forcing entry to the home, they discovered a man and woman inside. The man died at the scene. The woman was taken to a hospital, but later died from the injuries she had suffered.

The pair’s identities haven’t been released, but investigators say that the two were in the home illegally.

The cause of the fire isn’t yet known. Damage to the house was estimated at $50,000.
