
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A grand jury on Monday indicted two women on a number of charges related to a chase that ended in a crash that killed a 101-year-olf World War II vet last month.
The preliminary hearing for Lorraine Alvarado and Kassandra Alvarez is scheduled for April 13th.
Police say that back on March 1st, the pair led police on a chase in stolen car that ended when they crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of Sunset and Stephanie. Police say Alvarez was the driver. Alvarado was wounded by Metro Police after pulling a gun on them.

Alvardo and Alvarez are now facing enhanced charges of murder with the use of a deadly weapon and battery with the use of a deadly weapon resulting in substantial bodily harm because of the victim’s age. They’ re also charged with robbery with the use of a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
Alvarado also faces charges of grand larceny of an auto and charges related to allegedly pointing a gun at a police officer.
The pair have lengthy criminal records.
