3 killed in quartet of Tuesday auto-pedestrian accidents

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas Metro Police are investigating four auto-pedestrian accidents that occurred on valley roads Tuesday morning that left three people dead.

The first happened around 4am along Rainbow north of Desert Inn. Police say that the person who was struck was crossing Rainbow outside of a marked crosswalk. The driver stayed on scene and police say impairment is not believed to be a factor

Roughly 30 minutes later, a driver struck and killed a pedestrian who was attempting to cross Flamingo between Arville and Wynn Road. That person was taken to a hospital, but died from their injuries. The driver left the scene and is still being sought. Police are looking for an older model white pickup, and will gather surveillance video from nearby businesses to aid in their investigation.

The third auto-ped happened around 8am at Washington and Mount Hood. Police say a person was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk when they were hit. The driver stayed on scene and police say impairment is not believed to be a factor

Then around 8:30am, a person was hit at Washington and J Street. That person was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The driver fled the scene but was found and apprehended a short distance away.
