Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A third person has died from injuries suffered in a multi-car crash back in November that prosecutors say was deliberately caused by the driver at fault.
The crash happened back on November 18th at the intersection of Cheyenne and Jones. Video shows the car being driven by 19-year-old Jose Gutierrez driving at an extremely high rate of speed when he slammed into several cars stopped at a red light.
Gutierrez’ 21 year-old girlfriend was killed, along with the fetus she was carrying. Another man died at the crash scene. On Thursday, it was announced that 25-year-old Vanessa Vasquez had died from her injuries.
In total, 12 vehicles were involved in the crash.
Gutierrez faces murder charges, with prosecutors saying that he meant to do what he did. Gutierrez’ attorney maintains that his client suffered a medical episode which caused him to lose control of his car.
Gutierrez remains held without bail.
