Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Two adults and two children were killed in a massive house fire on the valley’s southwest side early Thursday.
The fire broke out around 4am near Jones and Windmill, spreading rapidly through the 3-story residence.
A woman and a child were able to escape the flames by jumping out a window, but the four victims – two adults and two children – didn’t make it out.
The intensity of the fire caused the second and third stories to collapse to ground level, hampering firefighters ability to both fight the flames and search for those missing.
Fire crews stayed on scene all day Thursday to put out any hotspots that developed. A cause hasn’t been determined.
The Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation are accepting donations, withall of the donations received going to the family.
