Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – 911 services in Las Vegas went down for several hours last night, forcing agencies to adjust to how they respond to emergencies.
Nevada was one of several states that dealt with a 911 outage on Wednesday night.
Agencies got the word out on social media that landline calls to 911 weren’t working, and instead advised people to text to 911 instead. The person’s number where the text came from would then be contacted.
Why 911 services went down at the same time over several states isn’t yet known. Services were restored in southern Nevada after around 3 hours.
