Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – With an overabundance of stray animals filling its shelter, the Animal Foundation of Las Vegas will be waiving all fees for people wanting to bring home a new best buddy.
The Bissell National Empty the Shelter adoption event is this Saturday and Sunday from 11am until 7pm.
In July alone, The Animal Foundation has taken in 2,165 animals
Adoptions take place on a first-come, first-served basis for walk-in traffic, beginning at 11 am each day. Depending on the volume of patrons each day, adoption services may close before 7 PM once capacity is reached.

The Animal Foundation reminds those interested to not bring their current pets to the shelter, as they don’t allow in-shelter dog-to-dog introductions.
The Foundation will provide step-by-step instructions on how to properly introduce the new pet to resident pet(s).
In some cases, a $10 license fee may apply.
