Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – For the third time this week, a Clark County School District employee has been placed under arrest.

44 year-old Haroon Zakai works as a computer tech at Wooley Elementary School, and has been with the district since 2022. According to a press release sent out by CCSD, Zakai was charged with electronic surveillance at school without knowledge, attempt to destroy/conceal evidence, damage to community property and monitoring private conversations.

Specifics were not given as to why Zakai was arrested, but the district said that the matter did not involve any students at the school.

Zakai is currently on unpaid leave pending the results of the investigation and is not allowed to go on campus.

Also on Thursday, it was announced that a CCSD middle school counselor was arrested in Mesquite and faces charges of aggravated sexual abuse of a minor.

The allegations against David Curtis stem from something that happened ten years ago in St. George, Utah. Specifics in that case haven't been revealed.

Curtis is employed as a counselor at Hughes Middle School in Mesquite.

Two other CCSD employees were arrested earlier this week and charged with inappropriate sexual conduct involving students.
