
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Fire crews continue to monitor a fire that broke out on Tuesday afternoon at Wetlands Park. As of Thursday night, the fire had burned an estimated 120 acres and was 100 percent percent contained.
It's the 4th time since March that crews have had to respond to a wildfire at Wetlands Park.
The fire, which started around 3pm Tuesday, burned in the northeast area of the park near Old Silver Bowl Park. No one was hurt, but the Wetlands Park’s Nature Center was closed as a precaution,
A cause is still unknown.
There have now been four fires at the park this year. The first one burned in March, followed by ones in April and June. Two of those fires were determined to be human-caused.
