Apartment fire leaves 2dead, more than a dozen homeless

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Two people were killed, and 16 people are without a place to stay after fire raced through their east-side apartment complex Sunday night.

Clark County Fire and Rescue first got the call about the blaze at the Riverbend Village Apartments near Flamingo and Spencer just after 7:30pm, and quickly called out a second alarm.

in addition to the person that was killed, 4 others suffered injuries as they escaped the flames. None of the injuries were considered to be life-threatening.

The Red Cross is helping those who have been displaced. The cause of the fire isn’t yet known.
