BCPD then went into active-shooter mode and had personnel at the school within 90 seconds.
Turned out that the call was a fake, something called “spoofing”.
Investigators say another school in the area received a similar call on Wednesday.
In all, the lockdown lasted roughly 45 minutes.
Police aren’t sure yet who made the call. “These threats are a crime and will be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” said Boulder City Police Chief Tim Shea.
