Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Bail was set at $100,000 Thursday for a Summerlin man charged with shooting and killing his neighbor during an argument on Monday night.
Police were called to an area near Lake Mead and Hillpointe just after 7pm Monday and found a man suffering from gunshot wound lying in the driveway of a residence. That person, identified as Joe Moreno (no relation) died at a hospital.
Metro says that 32-year-old Eddi Moreno shot Joe Moreno because he was acting inappropriately in front of his family, including exposing himself.
The dispute escalated to the point where Moreno pulled out a gun and fired the fatal shots
Eddi Moreno faces a charge of Open Murder.
Under terms of the bail, Eddi Moreno is ordered not to have any contact with the victim’s girlfriend. He’s also forbidden from having guns on his property.
Eddy Moreno’s next court appearance is scheduled for August 13th
