Henderson PD find body of man believed carried away in flooded wash

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – The Henderson Police Department say that they believe they have found the body of a man who was carried away by floodwaters in an east-side was last week.

The man’s name hasn’t been released.

The man was swept away during a storm back on May 6th near Burkholder Blvd and Major Ave.  Tuesday morning, a body was discovered roughly 4.5 miles from where the man was last seen.

HPD said that more than 100 hours were spent searching for the man. Agencies involved in the search included the Henderson Fire Department, Red Rock Search and Rescue, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Air Unit, and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Search and Rescue unit.

Henderson PD says there are no signs that would indicate that foul play was involved.
