Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – While most of the major work has been completed on the rebuild of the Tropicana/I-15 interchange, drivers aren’t completely done with the inconveniences just yet.
Between Friday night at 9 and Monday morning at 5, I-15 South will be closed between Spring Mountain and Tropicana so crews can pave and re-stripe the freeway lanes.
During that time, the onramps to 15 South from Spring Mountain, Flamingo and Harmon will also be closed.
The Nevada Department of Transportation’s recommended detour: exit I-15 South at Spring Mountain and go west to Decatur, then south on Decatur to Russell, then east on Russell back to I-15.
The schedule is weather dependent, as paving requires warm, dry conditions—even during overnight hours.
